We are looking for a Robotics Engineer focused on teleoperation, robot control, and realtime motion pipelines for humanoid robots. The role focuses on building VR-based, low-latency teleoperation systems that connect human operators to humanoid robots through VR controllers, motion tracking, video streaming, and robot control interfaces. The goal is to enable fluid, natural, and data-rich human-robot interaction while supporting scalable dataset collection for VLA, RL, and imitation learning pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and iterate teleoperation pipelines for humanoid robots in simulation and in the real world.
- Integrate VR controllers, head-mounted displays, and motion tracking systems, including Oculus / Meta Quest or similar devices.
- Develop realtime motion retargeting pipelines for humanoid control, mapping human motion to robot kinematics, limits, and safety constraints.
- Implement low-latency communication pipelines for synchronized robot commands, sensor feedback, video streams, and motion data.
- Validate teleoperation performance under realistic conditions, including latency, bandwidth limitations, signal variability, and robot safety constraints.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including: AI / ML engineers, Motion and control engineers, Simulation engineers, Mechanical design team.
- Support VLA, RL, and imitation learning pipelines by enabling high-quality human demonstrations and structured robotics datasets.
Requirements
- >2 years experience in robotics, teleoperation or VR / AR systems.
- Ms or Phd in Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Strong Python skills. You can write maintainable code, debug realtime systems, and integrate robotics software components.
- Familiarity with robot control, motion capture, inverse kinematics, optimal c
