Site Manager, Sicily

Full time on site position located in Catania, Sicily. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role oversees the safe and optimal performance of renewable energy assets within the assigned region.

Job Summary

As a member of the Asset Management Team, you will manage contractors to execute planned and corrective maintenance, ensuring operations comply with internal procedures and industry best practices. Your responsibilities include maintaining HSQE standards, optimizing plant availability, managing budgets, and ensuring stakeholder engagement across the portfolio of wind and solar farms.

Key Responsibilities

- HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental) – Ensure the safety of all personnel, uphold HSQE standards, conduct regular audits and inspections of contractors, document incidents, lead emergency planning, and enforce continuous improvement.
- Technical Operations – Oversee and coordinate O&M; service activities, operate plant(s) to maximize generation, monitor asset KPIs, support investigations and root‑cause analyses, conduct fault-finding and rectification, perform quality inspections, and manage HV/LV equipment and preventive maintenance.
- Contractor Management – Maintain high standards of contractor performance, implement work plans for each site, conduct frequent audits, oversee project management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Reporting & Analysis – Produce monthly operational reports, collaborate with Operational Analysts on turbine performance issues, develop business cases,



and create technical knowledge‑sharing documents.
- Commercial & Budgeting – Deliver works within defined budgets, generate PRs/POs in line with company procedures, manage PV/Wind farms against fiscal expectations, and contribute to annual operating and capital expense budgets.
- On‑Call Duties – Participate in a rotational on‑call rota, be available outside regular hours for site attendance and remote support, and respond to market‑driven operational instructions.

Preferred Experience

- 2–5 years of experience managing PV plants.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in information documentation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience with wind plants is beneficial.

Skills & Knowledge

- Clear written and verbal communication at all levels.
- PV fault analysis and corrective action planning.
- Strong scheduling and planning skills.
- Experience with O&M; service companies and HV/LV equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Managerial skills and behaviours, including strong contractor and HSQE management.
- Problem‑solving, high work autonomy, and ability to manage communities and landlords.

Education & Qualifications

- Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil construction.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience within the renewables industry.
- Project Management skills and experience.

Travel Requirements

- Regular travel within the allocated area, with potential European travel for training.
