We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Wiring Harness Component Design Engineer, to lead the design, validation, and release of harness‑retaining components (brackets, grommets, and connectors).
- Functional definitions design (CAD).
- Participation in HH (Hot Housing) meetings and convergence meetings with supplier.
- Participation in technical reviews and RAL (Revue d'Acceptation des Livrables).
- Officialisation (Releases the Definitions, verifies the digital mock‑ups, verifies the 3D definitions and leading the officialization process).
- Creating of assembly plans (CAO designer).
- ALTIS/ISSUS treatements.
- PV / PIV creation.
- Following the overall Product evolution.
- Definition of the technical specifications of parts.
- Definition and validation of the CTF and of the Functional Plans.
- Validation of Plans created by suppliers.
- Teams and deliverables resources management.
- Participation / management of the meetings with suppliers / APQP grid follow‑up.
- Validation of the PCP.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in automotive wiring harness design, plastic/sheet metal bracket development, or routing components.
- Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 (3D modeling, 2D drafting, and spatial dimensioning).
- Strong understanding of automotive data management, release processes, APQP grids, and Part Control Plans (PCP).
- Strong communication skills for negotiating technical issues during supplier convergence and alignment meetings.
