Responsibilities
- Take an active role in the execution of M&A; deals by preparing marketing documents and business plans, setting up data rooms, managing due diligence Q&A;, and working with senior team members on all activities needed to get to signing and closing.
- Develop pitch book presentations to explain industry trends, discuss client options, and perform company valuations.
- Generate new ideas and creative approaches that push the business forward.
- Identify and meet client needs, coordinating and working alongside senior colleagues and investors.
- Spot problems, generate options, and recommend solutions.
- Manage and support the development of interns.
Qualifications
- Ideally, 1–2 years of experience in M&A; advisory with direct exposure to both origination and execution workstreams.
- Deep understanding of and proactive contribution to the various phases of an M&A; process—from preparation of marketing material (e.g., teasers, information memorandum, business plans) to due diligence activities (Q&A;, expert sessions, management presentations) to negotiation of legal documents (SPA, SHA), signing, and closing.
- Solid financial analysis skills with thorough knowledge of Italian accounting and corporate valuation methodologies (e.g., trading and transaction multiples, discounted cash flow, LBO model).
- Hands‑on experience in producing effective, clear, and persuasive presentation material for clients and counterparties.
- Proficiency in using AI‑powered tools to improve efficiency and quality of M&A; processes, including company research, financial modelling support, due diligence review, market analysis, and generation of strategic insights.
- Advanced reasoning, multitasking,
and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate, motivate, and train junior resources.
- Team spirit and collaborative mindset.
- Italian native, fluency in English to interact with foreign investors and counterparties.

Your Team
You’ll be working in the Corporate Advisory Team in Milan. Our team, currently composed of around 15 professionals, is responsible for advising Italian entrepreneurs and financial sponsors in originating and executing M&A; transactions, with an exclusive focus on mid‑market. The team has closed 40 sell‑side transactions over the last five years, serving private entrepreneur clients and financial sponsors in a variety of deals, leveraging the international network of UBS and expertise in dealing with families and private equity investors.

Salary Information
Indicative gross base salary range (full‑time equivalent): Italy min EUR 50,000 – max EUR 65,000 per annum.
