Overview

Based in Milan, you will develop and execute the strategy for Property & Liability risks in the Italian market and support Allianz Mid-Corporate targets. You will liaise with agents and work with cross-functional teams to drive underwriting performance and product strategies. The role combines risk assessment, portfolio management, and collaboration to grow profitable business while ensuring governance and adherence to guidelines. You will shape local risk strategy within a global framework and contribute to cross-selling and market activation.

Responsibilities

- Ensure underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines are followed
- Steer the local portfolio to meet financial targets
- Review end-to-end underwriting performance with cross-functional peers
- Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and other product lines for marketing strategies
- Maintain underwriting discipline and compliance with corporate guidelines and local regulatory framework
- Support development and implementation of new or modified products




- Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing business (agent/broker negotiations)
- Communicate local business strategy externally

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Engineering or Economics or Law
- 5+ years' underwriting experience in profitable Property (PD/BI and Theft and Liability) for Corporate Clients
- Preference for multinational client experience
- Proven leadership skills
- Risk assessment expertise and knowledge of policy administration life cycle
- Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis
- Experience in designing, developing and implementing robust wordings and underwriting projects is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in an international organization
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Data Analytics
- Very good knowledge of Office 365 and collaborative tools
