Within the
High Voltage Products
Business Unit (BU), the Technology Center (TC) Southern Europe (SEU) is responsible for developing and optimizing high voltage equipment for electrical substations.
Our R&D; Quality team leads and ensures the fulfillment of all quality requirements and deliverables across New Product Implementation (NPI) projects with a strong emphasis on timely execution and high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities include ensuring that all project activities comply with HE and BU High Voltage Products processes, regulations, guidelines, and instructions.
You will join a dynamic, cross-functional R&D; team, reporting to the TC Quality Manager NAM (North America) and SEU (Southern Europe), and contribute to the design, testing, and quality improvement of HV Products.
Your quality expertise and continuous improvement mindset will help drive forward cutting-edge solutions in high voltage technology.
How You'll Make an Impact
Guides and monitors R&D; teams in applying quality standards across NPI and large GPS projects within the Technology Center (TC) and across functional teams, from project inception through product or system implementation.
Monitors all deliverables and milestones, guaranteeing that the product is verified and validated and ready for being released.
Supports project teams by ensuring that quality goals are clearly understood and fully integrated into the project plan.
Define and implement comprehensive quality requirements for NPI throughout all Gate Model stages and major product improvement initiatives.
Drive and facilitate DFMEA and PFMEA, DFM and DFA, reliability assessments,
and support the identification of product and process special characteristics that will fulfill the Quality Control Plan.
Leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving activities to identify and resolve quality cases that arise from unexpected test failures during NPI projects after design freeze or those triggered by a Change Request (CR) or a Problem Report (PR).
Monitors issues arising during project execution, the use of quality tools, and the effectiveness of quality planning to capture Lessons Learned and propose proactive preventive measures for future NPI projects.
Your background
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Quality-related).
Strong preference for candidates with technical experience in the electro-mechanical industry, ideally with medium or high voltage products.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Familiarity with Gate Models, APQP, FMEA, V&V; methods, DfM/DfA, PPAP, RCA.
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.
Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an international environment.
Proactive and innovative approach to solving multi-disciplinary problems.
Fluency in English and Italian.
