We're looking for a Global Frame Shape Database Manager and VTO Scan Lab Supervisor to join VIS-NDOF in our Frame Platform and VTO ecosystem.
/p h3Your Role The role combines two critical pillars: /h3 ul liGlobal Frame Shape Database Manager /li liVTO Scan Lab Supervisor /li /ul pPurpose: To ensure high-quality frame shape metadata and scans are captured, stored, and made available to Visustore, Visufit, VTO, VTO(at)Home, Frame Platform, ECP Online, and related applications; to lead the Frame Platform Scan Lab operations in Italy with excellence and reliability.
/p h3Global Frame Shape Database Manager /h3 ul liQuality control and entering frame shape meta data consumed by multiple platforms /li liCreating traces of frame requests for cut edge and fit and uploading them to the GFDB /li liMaintaining correctness of all data within the GFDB (23k+ frames) /li liActing as the technical stakeholder for FrameManagementTool (FMT) and providing final GoLive approvals /li liSupporting CEF project "GFDB" by connecting stakeholders and advising on technical questions /li liConnecting "online" data with GFDB, guiding data handling between FMT and Online /li liGuiding BI dashboards on what to display and which data matters from business and data perspectives /li /ul h3VTO Scan Lab Supervisor /h3 ul liCoordinating the Frame Platform Scan Lab in Italy with two operators (plus one backup)



/li liPrioritizing tasks and solving process-related issues /li liControlling and correcting meta data to ensure accuracy of stored data (Meta-trace and 3D data) /li liImproving the scan process for speed, data handling, and reducing partner involvement /li /ul h3Key measures / indicators /h3 ul liFrames on the platform (KPI) /li liNumber of frames scanned by Visuscan /li /ul h3Your Experience Education /h3 ul liDiploma of optical industrial expert with qualification as optician /li liDeep knowledge of production and properties of lenses, frames, full spectacles (materials, behavior, tolerances) /li liProficiency in software development and agile/sprint methodologies /li liHandling, creating, and tracing frame data; validating correctness and plausibility /li liAdvanced understanding of materials, fitting, and behavior under different conditions /li liKnowledge of optician workflow, ophthalmic lenses, contact lenses,



and low-vision products /li liInsight into lens production and technical requirements /li liWriting software requirements with prioritization for features /li liSoftware testing and experience with agile scrum teams /li liAbility to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders /li liFluent English (read, write, speak) /li /ul h3Additional knowledge /h3 ul liUnderstanding of glasses and full spectacles production /li /ul h3Duties and Responsibilities /h3 h3Global Frame Shape Database Manager /h3 ul liBe the contact for technical questions about the global database content /li liEnter and maintain frame data /li liPropose improvements to the GFDB and FMT to the Product Owner /li liEnsure the FMT version includes all needed functionality; lead testing and sign-off for new features; conduct UATs /li /ul h3VTO Scan Lab Supervisor /h3 ul liCoordinate the VT Scan Lab in Italy with two operators /li liServe as the interface between VTO Aalen and VT Scan Lab Italy /li liEnsure trace quality of frame shapes, 3D pictures, and all metadata conform to GFDB /li liPropose workflow improvements for speed and precision /li /ul pReporting relationships ZEISS is technology and innovation.
