ppCMCC Position ***** /p pEarly career postdoctoral researcher / Mid-level researcher /p pDeadline: July 10, **** /p h3WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR /h3 pWe are seeking up to three highly motivated and well-organized bearly-career postdoctoral researchers or mid-level researchers /b to work as bEddy Covariance and Ecosystem Data Curators /b.
Candidates should have proven experience in the management of large environmental datasets, particularly in the organization, quality control, processing, formatting, and documentation of eddy covariance time series, including the full set of associated meteorological, ancillary, and metadata records.
Programming skills in at least one of the following languages are required: Python, R, or MATLAB.
/p pThe activities will be carried out within the Ecosystem Thematic Centre (ETC) of the ICOS Research Infrastructure and the global FLUXNET initiative.
The selected candidates will join a team dedicated to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of data and metadata collection, processing, curation, and dissemination workflows.

/p h3ROLE /h3 pThe Eddy Covariance Data Curators will report to the ICOS ETC Director and Coordination Group and will be responsible for the collection, organization, quality control, processing, curation, and preparation of eddy covariance datasets and their associated metadata.
This will include the development and implementation of new tools and workflows to enhance data management and curation procedures.
/p h3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liData collection and support for data submission /li liData checking and quality control, including interaction with data providers /li liCollection, organization, and quality control of metadata and ancillary data /li liData processing and analysis of results /li liRevision of existing metadata and ancillary data schemes, and development of new ones /li liDevelopment, testing, and deployment of new data quality assessment tools.
/li /ul h3REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul liPhD or Master's degree in a scientific discipline.
/li liProven experience in environmental data management.
/li liFamiliarity with eddy covariance data.
/li liVery good command of English, both written and spoken.
/li liBasic knowledge of Italian, sufficient for everyday communication and discussions.
/li liProficiency in scientific programming and data handling, including experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, or MATLAB.
/li /ul h3DURATION, COMPENSATION BENEFITS /h3 ul liThe selected candidates will be based at the CMCC office in Viterbo, located at the University of Tuscia.
/li liThe position is offered under a Coordinated and Continuous Collaboration Contract (Co.co.co.), starting on September 1st, for a duration of 12 months.
/li liThe gross annual compensation for this position ranges from €30,000 to €50,000.
The salary offered will be determined based on relevant experience, seniority, and specific technical skills, according to objective and gender?neutral criteria.
/li liWelfare benefits amounting to €2,000 per year.
/li liFlexible working hours, in accordance with internal policies.
/li liSupport with immigration procedures, if required.
