Experteer Overview
In this role you will design, develop, and optimize electric motors for professional laundry, food & beverage, and dynamic preparation equipment.
You will work within the Global Technology team to advance core motor technologies across product lines and markets.
You'll tackle electromagnetic, thermal, mechanical integration, prototyping, and validation challenges to improve efficiency, cost, noise, reliability, and manufacturability.
This is a hands?on role with cross?functional collaboration to enable differentiated performance and global standards.
You will help drive sustainable, customer?focused innovation that meets needs beyond tomorrow.
Retribuzione / Benefits
Support electric motor solutions development for multiple product lines (BLDC, PMSM, induction, universal motors)
Perform motor sizing based on torque, speed, power, efficiency, and duty cycle
Analyze motor designs (stator, rotor, winding, lamination, magnets, insulation, housing)
Conduct thermal analysis and cooling design for real operating conditions
Support NVH improvements through design optimization
Ensure mechanical fit, mounting, sealing, and vibration isolation for appliance integration
Collaborate with R&D; and manufacturing to meet DFM/DFA, cost targets, and production feasibility
Build, prototype,
and test motors; execute validation plans (efficiency mapping, thermal rise, durability, vibration, environmental tests)
Work with electronics/control teams to ensure inverter/drive compatibility and control algorithms
Support quality with root?cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues
Lead value engineering and cost optimization; establish global quality and compliance standards (IEC, UL)
Document drawings, specifications, BOMs, test reports, and design reviews
Responsabilità
5+ years of electric motor design experience in high-volume products
Strong understanding of motor electromagnetic principles and winding/insulation systems
Thermal management expertise
Mechanical design considerations (bearings, tolerances, vibration)
Experience with motor simulation tools (Maxwell, JMAG, Motor-CAD)
Familiarity with lab testing and validation of motors
Knowledge of manufacturing processes for motors (stamping, winding, impregnation, balancing, assembly)
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
