p PRIMARY FUNCTION p The selected candidate will join the Product Engineering department within the Cab Interiors team, contributing as a Design Engineer specialized in automotive plastic components and instrument panel/dashboard systems. The role will cover the development of interior trim parts from concept and feasibility through design release, validation and production support, ensuring technical performance, manufacturability, quality, cost and timing targets. The ideal candidate has solid experience in plastic component design, dashboard/instrument panel architecture, supplier co-design management and cross-functional collaboration with styling, manufacturing, quality, purchasing and validation teams. /pp ESSENTIAL RESPONSABILITIES /pulli Define technical and technological specifications for plastic interior trim components, with specific focus on dashboard/instrument panel systems, during concept and feasibility phases. /lili Lead 3D/2D design activities for assigned components, ensuring correct packaging, styling feasibility, functional integration and compliance with project requirements. /lili Apply design for manufacturing and assembly principles for injection molded plastic parts, including ribs, bosses, clips, fixing strategy, tolerances, draft angles and tooling feasibility. /lili Manage component development from concept to design release, validation, launch and issue resolution, monitoring quality, cost, weight, timing and performance targets. /lili Interface with styling, ergonomics, safety, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, testing, suppliers and engineering service providers to converge robust technical solutions.
/lili Support prototype build, component testing, validation activities, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. /lili Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, CAD data, technical specifications, release documents, design standards and lesson learned. /lili Coordinate external work packages with co-design companies, suppliers and partners, reviewing deliverables and ensuring alignment with internal standards. /lili Prepare technical reports, design reviews and written correspondence in English. /li /ulp REQUIREMENTS /pulli Experience in automotive plastic component design, preferably on dashboard/instrument panel, interior trim, consoles or related cab interior systems: 3 years minimum /lili Strong knowledge of plastic materials, injection molding technologies, tooling constraints, assembly concepts and component validation processes. /lili Advanced practical experience with 2D and 3D CAD modelling, preferably CATIA V5/V6, including surface and solid modelling for automotive interiors. /lili Knowledge of GDT, tolerance analysis, component release processes, PLM systems and change management. /lili Ability to manage suppliers and engineering providers,
