ph3Corrugator Supervisor (2nd Shift) /h3pOur Corrugator Supervisor directly supervises all employees assigned to the department on various shifts. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team-building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of professional behavior, attitude and performance. /ph3Qualifications /h3ulliEducation Requirements: High school diploma or GED. /liliExperience Requirements: Five years of manufacturing experience. Corrugated packaging is a plus. Strong, proven leadership qualities required. /liliSkills: Ability to read and understand English; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write reports and correspondence. /liliMathematical skills: Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate; apply concepts of high school math. /liliReasoning skills: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form; deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. /liliComputer skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office products and software that tracks starch usage and updating quality related data for food safety compliance. /liliBasic understanding of manufacturing processes including managing inventory and ordering as needed. /li /ulh3Physical Demands /h3pWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; stop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee is regularly required to sit.



The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. /ph3Work Environment /h3pThe employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; wet and or humid conditions; high or low precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is loud and hearing protection is required at all times while in the production area. /ph3Leadership Attributes /h3pThe individual must possess the following: Superior time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently, and the ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting. Teaching skills in order to function effectively as a teacher/mentor for the personnel in the department. Excellent crisis management skills that demonstrate high emotional control under adverse conditions and who can lead the department personnel to a successful resolution. Excellent employee relations skills including being an active listener, understanding how to appraise personnel, applying both positive and corrective feedback, being able to resolve conflicts either involving the supervisor directly or as a third party, understand and demonstrate positive motivational skills including coaching and delegation techniques.
