ABB E-Mobility is building a standalone IT organization to support manufacturing, R&D;, and commercial operations across Europe and the US. We are looking for a hands-on, highly versatile IT Systems Engineer who will act as the primary IT presence at our San Giovanni Valdarno site.

This is a broad, high-impact role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and visibility. You will work across endpoints, infrastructure, networking, automation, and executive support, often in the same week. The role requires strong technical competence, excellent judgment, and the professionalism to operate confidently in executive-facing environments.

This role reports to the Head of IT Infrastructure.

In this role your main accountabilities will be:

- Provide Tier 2/3 end-user support across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including white‑glove support for C‑level executives
- Serve as the on‑site IT owner for the SGV location, ensuring reliable and professional IT services
- Administer endpoint management platforms (JAMF, Intune)



across the full device lifecycle
- Own and support video conferencing systems, meeting rooms, and live executive events with zero tolerance for disruption
- Troubleshoot and maintain networking and infrastructure components (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, virtualization)
- Support Microsoft 365 services and related SaaS platforms
- Develop scripts and automation to streamline IT operations and reduce manual effort
- Lead and execute local and regional IT projects, including infrastructure refreshes and greenfield builds
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate closely with global IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders during IT separation and growth initiatives
