InnoStars seeks Ecosystem Leads for Hungary and Italy

About InnoStars

InnoStars is a non-profit association dedicated to strengthening health and life sciences innovation capacity in emerging and moderate innovation regions. As a Life Sciences Cluster, it supports regional ecosystems through international collaboration, connecting start-ups, researchers, institutions and public stakeholders with knowledge, partnerships and opportunities that help innovation grow. InnoStars activities span Europe, with a local presence in Hungary, Italy, Poland and Portugal.

Our partners represent industry, academia, hospitals and research centres.

We are recruiting for two separate positions:

- Ecosystem Lead for Hungary
- Ecosystem Lead for Italy.

Each successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting the InnoStars ecosystem in their respective country while working closely with the wider international team.

Place of work: Hungary or Italy, depending on the position applied for

Responsibilities

- Act as the main contact for InnoStars members and partners in the relevant country, building and maintaining the national innovation ecosystem
- Interact with local and international stakeholders, attract and recruit new members, and identify new potential business opportunities
- Provide dedicated account management, aligning member needs with relevant opportunities and services
- Deliver innovation advisory support, guiding members on strategy, growth and positioning
- Support partners in project development and application processes for EU and other funding opportunities




- Drive matchmaking and connections across local and international ecosystems
- Organise and support community and networking activities, including events, forums and meetings
- Contribute to the visibility of partners, projects and success stories
- Support and participate in grant implementation and project delivery activities
- Together with the international team of Ecosystem Leads, maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and local marketing assets covering entrepreneurs, start-ups and other relevant stakeholders, helping to attract future interest in InnoStars programmes and projects and those of its partners

Requirements

- Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in health sciences, life sciences, biotechnology, business, innovation management or a related field
- Experience in entrepreneurship is required; experience in both the private and public sectors is considered an advantage
- Experience in public-private partnerships and business modelling is an advantage
- Experience working with companies and academic institutions in a key account management role is considered an advantage
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem, dynamics and trends in the relevant country




- An extensive contact network in the health and life sciences ecosystem of the relevant country
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in English and in the local language of the position applied for: Hungarian for the Hungary position or Italian for the Italy position
- Proactive, self-driven, dynamic and well organised
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks and projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an international team
- A key account management mindset and client-focused approach
- Highly entrepreneurial attitude
