POSITION: Engineer / Hydraulic Modeler – Planning and Engineering Department

COUNTRY / PAYS: Italy

Rome, Italy; and missions abroad

STARTING DATE / DATE DE DEMARRAGE: as soon as possible

DURATION / DUREE: 1-year renewable. Trial period 3 months.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE / OBJECTIVE GENERAL:

PARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLICATION SERVICES AND EXPECTED RESULTS / OBJECTIVES PARTICULIERS, SERVICES DEMANDES ET RÉSULTATS A ATTEINDRE:
The resource will mainly work within ARS Planning and Engineering Dpt. on the following activities:

Project Engineer: Provide specific expertise in projects where his/her professional experience is compatible being specifically dedicate to modeling activities, GIS Database management and development, Hydraulic designs, Development of Cots Estimations, BoQs and Technical Specifications.
Willing to travel for short-medium missions (up to one month) in developing countries and Gulf Area.

Project Management: Monitoring of the budget,



resources and time-schedule; administrative management of the contract with the client and with the experts; provide coordination and backstopping support to international experts.

QUALIFICATION: Min. 3 years of professional experience in the areas of drainages, hydrogeological risk assessment, flood risk management, river modeling and sewers. Excellent knowledge and use of main software, such as HEC-RAS, Mike, EPA-SWMM, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, QGIS, Civil3D.
Fluent written and spoken Italian and English is mandatory. Excellent ability to write and edit reports or other written materials

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE / EXPÉRIENCE SPÉCIFIQUE: The candidate must be proactive, hard worker, result-oriented, passionate on environmental thematic. Self-sufficient with problem solving skills. Capable to work under stress. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Passionate in travelling.
