About the job:
We are looking for a
Microbiological Quality Control Internship
to be placed within the Quality Control Department – Microbiological Laboratory (Central Building).
The intern will support the assigned Tutor in all activities related to the control of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials, actively participating in laboratory operations and receiving on-the-job training.
Main responsibilities:
Perform qualitative and quantitative microbiological analyses on raw materials and finished products in accordance with the plant's analytical procedures, promptly reporting any out-of-specification results to the Laboratory Manager
Support the preparation and management of culture media
Carry out sampling and microbiological analysis of process water
Perform environmental monitoring activities
Record performed analyses in the appropriate logs and enter test results into the plant's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Comply with the department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including operational and safety instructions,
reporting any anomalies encountered during their application
Contribute to the qualification and calibration of laboratory analytical instruments
Perform packaging analyses on primary and secondary packaging materials
Assist with washing laboratory glassware and cleaning instruments and workbenches to maintain order in the laboratory area
Support laboratory waste disposal activities.
About you:
Education:
Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Biology, Industrial or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.
Background:
Knowledge of laboratory theory, operating principles of laboratory instruments, data processing, and data archiving.
Skills:
Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint as well as analytical and synthesis skills. Motivation to learn the role of Microbiological Quality Control specialist, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
Languages:
Fluent spoken and written English (Level B2).
Location
: Origgio (VA).
Other:
Valid driving license and own vehicle*
