AI Developer

The Artificial Intelligence Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative AI solutions that support the organization's digital transformation initiatives. Working as part of a global and multicultural team, the role focuses on delivering scalable Generative AI applications, integrating AI capabilities with enterprise systems, and contributing to the continuous evolution of AI engineering practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop,



and implement medium to complex Generative AI solutions aligned with business and technology requirements.
- Build and maintain technical components, ensuring high standards of quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for large-scale document collections.
- Design and implement AI solutions integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) with enterprise databases and business applications.
- Develop API integrations and tooling to enable automated execution of AI-driven actions and workflows.
- Collaborate daily with global cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Participate in the definition of software components and their integration within the enterprise architecture.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for AI applications and solutions.
- Contribute to Communities of Practice by providing technical input, reviewing implementations, sharing best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support knowledge sharing and training activities through the preparation of technical materials and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

- Proven experience in designing and implementing medium to complex Generative AI solutions.
- Experience developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for large-scale document repositories.
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) with medium to large SQL databases (200+ tables).
- Knowledge of LLM frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agentic Framework, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing AI tooling through API integrations and service orchestration.
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform and related cloud services.
- Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.




- Basic knowledge of low-code platforms for AI agents and automation, such as Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Required: Experience with .NET, C#, RESTful API development, and SQL.
- Nice to have: Experience with Azure Cloud services and deploying applications in a cloud environment.
- Experience working in global, multicultural, and cross-functional development teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).

The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
