As Financial Controller at the Vignate plant, you combine accounting rigor with strategic cost analysis to influence manufacturing decisions. You’ll own month-end processes, costing accuracy, and asset/inventory accounting while strengthening controls and data integrity. The role sits at the crossroads of accounting and financial analytics, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and production performance reporting. You’ll work in a plant environment with SAP-driven ERP and have meaningful ownership, visibility, and impact beyond routine accounting.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close coordination in SAP FI CO and COPA with Shared Service resources
- Ensure GL integrity, control expenses by account and cost/profit centers, and approve accruals and reserves
- Support AP with proper coding and invoice booking; manage cost recharges and debit/credit notes
- Conduct cost analyses including product costs, manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, and capital spending
- Support standard cost management and updates; assist in robust costing system maintenance
- Assist budgeting/forecasting for annual plans and quarterly outlooks focusing on cost optimization
- Drive ERP configuration improvements and standardized reporting dashboards
- Ensure compliance with SOX and support internal/external audits
- Coordinate tax-related activities, Intrastat, transfer pricing, and US GAAP/local statutory reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of SAP FI CO proficiency
- 3+ years standard cost accounting in manufacturing xysqume
- 3+ years product cost and manufacturing variance analysis experience
- Strong knowledge of Italian accounting and tax regulations and US GAAP
- Strong numerical/analytical skills with manufacturing‑focus accounting
- Understanding of internal controls and SOX processes
- Ability to work with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment
- Advanced English and Italian languages
