We are looking for a Senior Property Risk Consultant to work out of our Milano office. The role involves conducting surveys to support business and customer needs, assessing and summarizing account operations, exposures, control adequacy, and providing loss control expertise and high-level service to clients.

Responsibilities

- Working collaboratively with a team of underwriters, loss control, claims, and other business partners.

- Establishing and maintaining commercial relations and persuading customers to choose Allianz Commercial.

- Delivering concise, high-quality, objective views of risk in a timely manner, including accurate loss expectancies, assessment of account exposures, control adequacy, risk grading, and appropriate recommendations.

- Developing technically based risk management recommendations, providing insights, analysis, and engineering judgement to determine likelihood of impact to loss mitigation, and working with client, broker, and underwriting to improve overall account risk quality.

- Applying National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and related safety guidelines, codes, and local standards.

Qualifications

This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering/loss prevention surveys, either in industry or the insurance sector. Candidates should demonstrate the following:

- Technical expertise in property exposure identification and control adequacy.

- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Science, Safety, Fire Protection, Engineering, or another suitable technical discipline.

- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) in native-level Italian and working knowledge of English.

- Business acumen and ability to build partnerships with our client base.

- A true team-player attitude.

- Motivation for life‑long learning, particularly working with data.

- Ability to integrate AI-driven insights into work to optimize outcomes.

- Willingness to undertake business travel.
