He/She is responsible for the results of the activities entrusted to the Institute, in accordance with the planned objectives. /ppInformation on research activities, geographical distribution of the Institutes, research outputs, collaborations and contracts as well as available scientific equipment is available on the official website of CNR ( ). /ph3Requirements /h3pEligible applicants are people of high qualification and experience and scientific management with no restriction concerning citizenship. /ppGood knowledge of Italian and English is required. /ph3Terms of Employment /h3pThe Director is responsible for the overall operations of the Institute and for the coordination of all activities, in relation with entrusted programs and projects. The Director all duties stated in the bylaw, regulations and general acts of CNR. /ppThe Director will have a full-time position with a mandate of four years, beginning with an official nomination and can be renamed only once. /ppEmoluments have been approved by Board of Director’s deliberations no. 158 of the 24th of May 2022 and deliberation no. 129 of the 7th of July 2026 . /ph3Submission of Applications /h3pCall for tenders has been published on the Recruitment Portal on the 8th of July 2026 the expiration date is the 7th August 2026.



/ppApplications will be admitted if submitted before18:00 CET on the deadline date. The date and hour of submission will be certified by the on-line system, which will no longer permit access for the submission of applications after the deadline. All applicants will receive an automated receipt upon correct submission of the application. /ph3Evaluation of candidates /h3pCandidatures will be evaluated by a Commission composed by three to five experts, including non-Italians, appointed by the CNR President following a decision of the Executive Board. /ppEvaluation criteria, set by the Commission, will include those assessing the high scientific production, professional and managerial qualifications and experience of applicants, in view of the scientific and organizational needs of the Institute. On this basis, a comparative evaluation of the candidates will be performed, and the resulting eligible candidates will be called for an interview by the Commission. /ppAfter expressing collegial decisions on each evaluation, the work of the Commission will conclude with the presentation to the Executive Board of a shortlist of three eligible candidates for the Institute. /ppShortlisted applicants must present to the Executive Board, within fifteen days from notification, a document illustrating strategic lines and development policies for the activities of the Institute. /ppAfter the presentation of such document, the Executive Board will choose the candidate that will be finally appointed for the position. /ppThe correct submission of an application requires inclusion of the applicant’s identity document with a legible signature (a PDF file). The identity document will be considered valid also for the purposes of the required declarations of the Application form and must be presented for identification at the interview. An identity document different from the one included in the application will not be accepted. /ppAs provided in article 13 of the legislative decree, n.196 of 30 June 2003, provided personal data will be used for the purposes of the present Call and for any possible subsequent establishment of an employment relationship; the applicant benefits the rights specified in art. 7 of the decree.
