We are looking for a Buyer to join our team at IMI Remosa, in Cagliari, Italy. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the business at a great time.

Working within the Supply Chain Team, the Buyer holds a key position in the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support the production plans of the company.

As a buyer you will be required to source products and components while liaising with manufacturing and engineering departments.

Main Responsibilities

- Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements

- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

- Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers

- Develop Suppliers' relationship and ensure continue expediting on pending purchase orders





- Explore alternate sources for goods and materials

- Undertake research on and business travels to evaluate existing and new suppliers

- Provide support to Category Managers/Senior buyers

- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process

What we are looking for:
- Good knowledge of English both written and spoken

-IT skills with ERP systems

- Previous experience in a purchasing role would be advantageous

- Manufacturing background

- Collaborative and a good team worker

- Excellent attention to detail

- Strong negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills
