Team Overview and Job responsibilities

The Head of Italy taxation be a direct report of the VP Group Tax & Customs and will have responsibility to lead the Italy Tax team (3 people) in the management of the Tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes for all Italian Legal Entities and of all the activities related to Italian Tax Risk Management also within the cooperative compliance regime with Italian Tax Authorities.

The position will aim at strengthening the Italian Tax Team in view of the increased relevance of the Risk Management activity.

The candidate activity will focus on:

- Coordinate all the Tax Compliance activities (Tax computation, tax returns, payments, etc.) for both direct and indirect taxation for all the Italian legal entities of the Group in order to comply correctly and timely with relevant Tax Legislation, taking opportunities and minimizing tax Risks;

- Manage activities connected with Tax inspections, Questionnaire and others relationship with Tax Authorities (including the cooperative compliance regime) adopting the most appropriate strategy also in the involvement of tax consultants;

- Analyze new Italian Tax legislation and interpretations with a tax impact on the Group, quantifying the impacts, involving relevant Functions (including IT) and implementing necessary solution;

- Support Business Functions in the analysis of relevant tax aspects of business decisions to find possible solutions in view of reducing and mitigating Tax Risks;

- Review and supporting the Tax consultants in drafting the Transfer Pricing Documentation for the Italian legal entities;

- Determine the tax accrual for the Interim Group Financial Statements and in the forecast and budget processes.



Inform timely the Group tax director on relevant tax issues and share decision and analysis in line with the best risk management practice.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a senior tax expert with more than 10-15 years’ experience gained in the tax department of a multinational or in an international tax consultancy firm.

The candidate shall have strong and consolidated experience in Taxation, in the management of Italian tax compliance, and in the analysis and solution of ordinary and extraordinary tax issues related to all kind of tax topic and with any level of complexity. It is required that the candidate has a deep knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, of IAS principles and of main IT applications (SAP e Hyperion).

The candidate shall have excellent organizational skills, good analytical and synthetical skills and a strong ability in identifying tax issues and proposing solutions.

Key expectations on the role :

- Be the reference point for Italian Tax Issues for Group and for the Business;

- Understand and anticipate the needs expressed by Business;

- Lead the Italian Tax Department sharing knowledge and fostering team building.

Key requirements :

- International experience and fluent English language knowledge

- At least 10 - 15 years’ experience, mainly as Tax Consultant of primary Tax Firm
