ph3Mechanical Thermal Engineer – Vacuum Pumps /h3pIn this role you will contribute to the design, development, verification, and validation of dry scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps within Agilent’s Vacuum Technologies RD team. You will apply structural analysis, fluids and heat transfer, and experimental validation to optimize product performance and reliability. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to advance new products and sustain existing ones, shaping solutions for demanding vacuum applications. This position offers hands-on problem solving and meaningful impact on product quality and innovation. /pulliDesign and develop mechanical components and assemblies for scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps /liliPerform structural analyses using FEA to assess strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and reliability /liliSupport fluid dynamic and thermal analyses to evaluate flow, heat transfer, and performance /liliPlan, execute, and analyze experimental validation activities to correlate simulations with tests /liliDevelop and conduct tests to verify structural, fluid dynamic, and thermal performance /liliSupport noise and vibration investigations through data acquisition and analysis /liliDevelop test plans, analyze results, and generate technical reports and recommendations /liliCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive product improvements /liliContribute to continuous improvement of simulation methodologies,
testing processes, and product performance /liliSupport root cause investigations and corrective actions related to field and manufacturing issues /liliMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline /liliTypically 4+ years of relevant experience in mechanical product development, analysis, or validation engineering /liliStrong knowledge of mechanical design, structural analysis, and FEA /liliProficiency with CAD software and engineering simulation tools; experience with ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent, and ANSYS CFX is strongly preferred /liliKnowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles /liliExperience with experimental testing and validation of mechanical systems /liliExperience with noise and vibration data acquisition and analysis /liliFamiliarity with test instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems /liliAbility to interpret test data and correlate experimental results with simulation models /liliStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills /liliAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international engineering environment /li /ulpIn this role you will contribute to the design, development, verification, and validation of dry scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps within Agilent’s Vacuum Technologies RD team. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
