You will work on challenging and diverse global projects, delivering cutting‑edge control and automation systems for both Wärtsilä and non‑Wärtsilä equipment. Oversee subcontractors during the production phase, guaranteeing adherence to agreements and high‑quality output. /li /brliTechnical Expertise: Answer technical questions from subcontractors and provide specialized advice to customers, ensuring efficient and effective solutions. /li /brliTesting Troubleshooting: Develop and maintain testing procedures, lead Factory Acceptance Tests, and perform accurate troubleshooting during production, installation, and commissioning. /li /brliSales Support: Conduct on‑site surveys, create technical specifications, and provide cost estimations during the sales phase. Lead technical discussions with international customers and stakeholders. /li /brliProduct Development: Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the product portfolio, carrying out research within specified program requirements and budgets. /li /brliTraining Mentorship: Mentor new Design Engineers and train customers in the operation and proper use of the propulsion control systems. /li /br /ul /brh3What do we expect from you? /h3 /brul /brliEducation: BSc or MSc in Industrial Automation or equivalent. /li /brliExperience: Minimum of 5 years in designing control systems in the maritime industry or industrial automation. /li /br /ul /brh3Skills: /h3 /brul /brliElectrical Hardware Design: Expertise in designing and reviewing hardware for customized propulsion control systems according to class rules and customer specifications. /li /brliSoftware Design: Proficiency in software development (C, C++, C#, SQL, etc.) and programming (PLC based). /li /brliCommunication Networks: Knowledge of communication protocols (MODBUS, CANbus, Profibus, NMEA, etc.) and network topology and security. /li /brliError Handling: Ability to perform fault finding analysis in both software and hardware. /li /brliAnalog Technology: Understanding of thyristors, amplifiers, and other analogue technologies. /li /brliPneumatic and Hydraulic Control:
