Telecommunication Engineer
MSC Technology Italia is looking for a
Telecommunication Engineer
with solid experience in
Radio Access Networks (RAN)
and
3GPP
technologies to support the design, implementation, and optimization of next-generation mobile network infrastructures.
The successful candidate will contribute to the evolution of MSC's digital ecosystem by working across




GSM
, LTE, and 5G networks, supporting network performance, reliability, and continuous improvement through the use of
monitoring tools
and industry best practices.
This role is ideal for mid-senior professionals with experience in telecom operators, system integrators, or network equipment vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize
RAN
solutions in compliance with
3GPP
standards.
Support the configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of
GSM
, LTE, and 5G radio access networks.
Monitor network performance using dedicated
monitoring tools
, identifying and resolving performance issues.
Analyze network behavior, signaling flows, and mobility management to ensure service quality.
Collaborate with Core Network teams to guarantee seamless integration between RAN and core network functions.
Perform KPI analysis and drive continuous network optimization initiatives.
Produce technical documentation and operational reports to support engineering activities.
Work closely with vendors and technology partners during deployment, testing, and operational phases.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in
RAN
engineering within telecom operators, system integrators, or network vendors.
Strong knowledge of
3GPP
architecture and mobile network standards, with hands?on experience in
GSM
, LTE, and/or 5G technologies.
Experience using network
monitoring tools
and KPI analysis for performance management and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of Core Network functions and interfaces (e.g., MME, AMF, S1, X2, NG).
Familiarity with major RAN vendor solutions (e.g., Ericsson,



Nokia, Huawei) is considered an advantage.
Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in cross-functional technical teams.
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).
The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate's professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
