In the region, the UN World Food Programme (WFP) works to support, enable, and - where required - deliver efficient and effective disaster response. As such, urgent Emergency Preparedness and Response capacity is sought (Project Manager), with seasoned first hand WFP experience in the design and implementation food assistance operations. /ppIn addition to the Emergency role in Timor Leste, this VA will be leveraged to create a small pool of ready to deploy EPR officers for a timebound project to enhance disaster preparedness and response expected in Asia and the Pacific, based in countries in Southeast Asia or the Pacific region. Roles could range from short term (2-6 months) surge or for 6-11 month project duration roles.
