With strengthened data collection, analysisand knowledge management capacity that is better aligned withnational systems, the WFP Kenya country office tracks and measurein collaboration with the national and county governments how itsresilience investments are reducing humanitarian requirements andexpanding WFP''s impact beyond that of direct implementation andassistance. /li liUnder the guidance and supervision of the Reporting andInformation Management Team Lead, and in close collaboration withthe programme, partnerships and communications teams, the UNV willsupport reporting, information management, and communicationsactivities across WFP Kenya operations /li liThe UN volunteer will undertake the following tasks andresponsibilities: /li li1. Reporting Support : /li liSupport the drafting, editing and consolidation of reportingproducts, including situation updates, programme briefs, donorvisibility materials, and operational summaries. /li liAssist in compiling information and inputs from field officesand programme units to support timely and accurate reporting. /li liContribute to the preparation of donor-based communication andreporting materials that highlight programme achievements,operational priorities, and impact.
/li liSupport the development of presentations, briefing notes, andtalking points, among other reporting requirements. /li liEnsure reporting materials are aligned with WFP communicationstandards, donor requirements, and organizational messaging. /li li2. Information Management: /li liSupport the organization, management and dissemination ofprogramme and reporting information across relevant teams. /li liMaintain and update information storage, content trackers, andknowledge management systems to support efficient informationsharing. /li liAssist in consolidating programme data, field inputs andvisibility materials for reporting and communication purposes. /li liSupport the packaging and presentation of information intoaccessible and user-friendly formats for internal and externalaudiences. /li liContribute to knowledge management initiatives by documentinglessons learned, best practices and operational highlights from WFPKenya activities . /li li3. Communication and Content Development: /li liSupport the drafting and quality control of human-intereststories, field stories, programme highlights and other contenthighlighting the impact of WFP Kenya operations. /li liConduct background research and support the management ofinformation, quotes, and field insights to support storytelling,reporting and visibility efforts. /li liSupport the development of written content for publications,web stories, newsletters, donor visibility materials, and internalcommunication products. /li liAssist in drafting communication materials including briefingnotes, talking points, social media content and stakeholderupdates. /li liSupport the development and dissemination of communication andvisibility materials for internal and external audiences, ensuringalignment with WFP branding and communication guidelines. /li liContribute to communication and outreach efforts related to WFPKenya programmes, field missions, and operational activities. /li liEnsure storytelling and communication products upholdhumanitarian communication principles, including dignity, accuracy,and accountability. /li li4. Coordination: /li liLiaise with programme, field, and technical teams across WFPKenya to gather timely information, operational updates, andcommunication materials in support of country officepriorities. /li liSupport coordination of reporting and communication requestsacross relevant WFP units, UN agencies, and stakeholders.
/li liSupport coordination and information sharing between the WFPKenya Country Office and the Resident Coordinator''s Office (RCO),facilitating alignment on reporting, communication, and visibilitypriorities. /li liAssist in ensuring timely communication and follow-up betweenWFP Kenya and the RCO to promote coherence and consistency inmessaging, strategic engagement, and inter-agency communicationefforts. Support collaboration between country office and fieldoffice teams to strengthen information flow and operationalvisibility. /li li5.
