/pp Job Summary / Purpose /pp The EHS Manager leads all Environment, Health and Safety activities and resources across the Hub's sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, continuous implementation of company policies, protocols, and culture.
The primary objective of the role is to prevent accidents and incidents, fostering a proactive safety culture and supporting continuous improvement across all operations.
/pp Job Scope / Dimensions /pp This position is part of the Performance Minerals EMEA Business Area, which encompasses: /pulli80 sites across 24 countries /lili3,700 employees /lili€1.2 billion revenue /li /ulp The Italy Denmark Hub includes: /pulli8 factories, 4 open-pit operations, 1 underground mine, and 1 logistics platform /lili Approximately 300 employees /lili€100 million sales /li /ulp Key Tasks and Responsibilities /pulli Act as the EHS lead for the Hub, partnering with the Hub Director to ensure compliance, excellence, and alignment with corporate objectives.
/lili Define and prioritize EHS annual objectives in line with the Business Area roadmap and the Imerys Safety System.
/lili Promote and embed a strong safety culture across all Hub sites.
/lili Drive continuous improvement by supporting sites in risk prevention and the implementation of improvement action plans.
/lili Lead the accident management process, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and definition of corrective actions in collaboration with site and local EHS managers.




/lili Ensure compliance of industrial and mining operations with local environmental regulations, CSRD requirements, and Imerys internal standards through regular assessments and gap analyses.
/lili Collaborate with Hub Operations Managers, Site Managers, and on-site EHS teams to deploy initiatives and provide guidance on EHS-related CapEx.
/lili Foster proactive networking and knowledge sharing of best practices across the Hub.
/lili Maintain close coordination with Hub Managers, Business Area EHS Managers, Site Managers, and local EHS contacts for program deployment and performance alignment.
/lili May act as EHS Manager for the Hub's lead site when required.
/li /ulp Ideal Background / Experience /pulli Engineering degree or equivalent qualification /lili Strong command of English and Italian (knowledge of Danish is a plus) /lili Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management within industrial operations /lili Proven track record managing multiple sites and driving a safety culture /li /ulp Key Competencies /pulli Strong knowledge of Safety Management Systems and industrial operations /lili In-depth understanding of local and industrial EHS regulations /lili Engaged, self-driven, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach /lili Structured and analytical working style with effective problem-solving skills /lili Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with employees at all levels — from shop floor to senior management — as well as with contractors, consultants, and authorities /lili Ability to influence, coach, create synergies, and lead cross-site programs and projects /lili Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to excellence /lili Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time across Italy and Denmark.
