The mission of WFPis to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Thecountry strategic plan is aligned with the United Nationssustainable development cooperation framework for Bangladesh for2022‒2026 and the eighth five-year plan(covering the period July 2020‒June 2025) ofthe Government of Bangladesh. The unit leads partnershipdevelopment, resource mobilization, donor relations,communications, and reporting in support of the WFP BangladeshCountry Strategic Plan ).
/liliThe assignment will contribute to WFP''s efforts to supportBangladesh''s development priorities and the humanitarian responseto the Rohingya refugee crisis. /liliThe UN Volunteer will support partnership management and donorengagement, with a particular focus on the Republic of Korea (ROK),including the REACH (Responding with Emergency Assistance forConflict-affected Households) Phase II project and other ROK-fundedinitiatives, while also supporting engagement with other strategicpartners and donors. /liliFor more information, visit: /li /ulpbTask description: /b /pulliUnder the direct supervision of the Head of Partnerships,Communication, and Reports (PCR), the UN Volunteer is responsiblefor assisting WFP Bangladesh Country Office PCR Unit in achievingthe goals set out in its Country Strategic Plan ). /liliThe UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks across allthree functions within the unit: /liliPartnerships and Reports: /liliSupport the partnerships portfolio, including partner profilingand outreach activities and partner visibility. Seek out newpartnerships and resources from all types of donors(IFI-International Financial Institutions, private sector,government donors) /liliEstablish a strong relationship with the donor focal points atthe Korean Embassy, KOICA, and the WFP Seoul office, as well asother donors and WFP Global offices. /liliSupport reporting team and coordination with programme teams todraft reports, proposals and concept notes while ensuring that theyare aligned with the donor''s interests. /liliKeep abreast of the ROK REACH project and draft and submit highquality reports and ensure timely implementation of visibilitycommitments to ROK as well as other donors /liliAssist in preparing meetings with donors including coordinationof relevant units and staff to collect inputs to draftcommunication materials such as presentation slides, briefingnotes, talking points, factsheets, donor visibility generation anddissemination etc. /liliAssist in drafting and sending out WFP''s external messages toits partners (ex: Thank you and national holiday letters). /liliCommunication: /liliAssist in drafting press releases,
