The Role
As a Space systems and operations engineer at Intella, you'll be a versatile contributor bridging the gap between aerospace domain expertise and software product development.
You'll bring deep knowledge of satellite operations to help us build, evaluate, and commercialize our data intelligence platform.
This is a cross-functional role where your aerospace background will directly influence product direction, technical requirements, and go-to-market strategies.

We'll shape specific responsibilities together based on your strengths, interests, and experience.
Key Responsibilities
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze satellite telemetry data and contribute to data processing workflows.
Support configuration and optimization of our data intelligence platform.
Contribute to feature development and codebase improvements.
Define and review technical requirements, product roadmap, and feature specifications.
Evaluate solutions from an aerospace operations perspective.
Support marketing activities with domain expertise and technical content.
Participate in sales conversations, conferences, and industry events.
Help translate customer needs into product requirements.
RequirementsMaster's degree in Aerospace Engineering.
At least 3-5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
Hands-on experience with satellite operations (mission control, ground segments, or similar).
Working knowledge of Python and general coding practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills—able to discuss technical topics with both engineers and customers.
Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.
Fluent in English (Italian is a plus for local market activities).
Additional knowledge (beneficial)Experience with telemetry data analysis or FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery).
Familiarity with space mission standards (ECSS, CCSDS).
Prior exposure to product management or business development.
Experience with data platforms, workflow automation, or ML/AI applications.
Public speaking or conference experience.
LocationFull Remote (with periodic in-person meetings with the team in Milan).
Candidates must be based in Italy
What we offerSalary range between 35k - 60k gross yearly (negotiable based on experience and scope of responsibilities).
