/pp As we expand our international footprint, we are strengthening our project execution capabilities and are looking for an experienced Project Director to lead full-scope EPC projects from development through commissioning and handover.
/pp Role Overview /pulli Location: Milan based with frequent travels, globally /lili Reports to: Chief Operating Officer /li /ulp The Project Director will be fully accountable for the end-to-end delivery of complex utility-scale energy projects executed under EPC or multi-contract structures.
/pp This role requires a senior professional with a strong EPC background who has successfully led projects from permitting and detailed engineering through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
/pp The Project Director will lead cross-functional teams and manage all key subcontractors across engineering disciplines, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.
/pp This role is critical in projects where Energy Dome is not only supervising site activities but directly responsible for full EPC execution.
/pp Key Responsibilities /pp Project Leadership Accountability /pulli Assume full PL responsibility for assigned projects.
/lili Lead projects from permitting and pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
/lili Ensure alignment between development, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
/lili Act as the primary escalation point for all project-related matters.
/li /ulp Engineering Technical Oversight /pulli Coordinate and supervise all engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, process, control systems).
/lili Ensure technical coherence between design, procurement, and construction.
/lili Oversee design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering initiatives.
/lili Ensure constructability and commissioning readiness are embedded from early project phases.




/li /ulp Construction Site Management /pulli Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
/lili Supervise EPC contractors and key subcontractors.
/lili Monitor progress, manage change orders, and resolve critical site issues.
/lili Ensure site execution aligns with contractual milestones.
/li /ulp Commissioning Handover /pulli Lead commissioning strategy and execution.
/lili Ensure proper testing, validation, and performance verification of systems.
/lili Manage final documentation and client handover.
/lili Ensure contractual performance guarantees are achieved.
/li /ulp Contract Stakeholder Management /pulli Manage EPC contracts and major subcontract agreements.
/lili Lead negotiations, claims management, and variation orders.
/lili Interface with clients, authorities, lenders, and strategic partners.
/lili Maintain strong relationships with local and international stakeholders.
/li /ulp Risk Financial Management /pulli Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost control.
/lili Proactively manage risks and mitigation plans.
/lili Ensure compliance with corporate governance and reporting requirements.
/li /ulp Required Experience Background /pulli Minimum 10 years of experience in EPC project delivery within the energy, power generation, industrial plants, or large infrastructure sectors.
/lili Proven track record of leading full lifecycle projects (permitting ? engineering ? procurement ? construction ? commissioning ? handover).
/lili Strong experience in construction management of complex industrial plants.
/lili Direct experience managing multidisciplinary engineering subcontractors.
/lili Solid background in commissioning and plant startup activities.
/lili Demonstrated experience managing large-scale contractors and site teams.
/lili Strong understanding of contractual frameworks (EPC, EPCm, multi-lot structures).
/lili Experience operating in international and multicultural environments.




/lili Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
/lili Proficient or native English.
/lili Willingness to travel (30% of the time).
