WFP''s Access and Conflict Sensitivity Strategy ) aims to ensure safe, sustained, and unhindered access to affected populations, while integrating humanitarian principles, protection, and conflict sensitivity across operations. /ppThe Humanitarian Access Officer plays a key role in operationalizing this strategy at field level.
/ph3Overall Objective /h3pEnsure that WFP and its partners maintain safe, timely, and sustainable access to affected populations, while supporting operations through analysis, engagement, coordination, and integration of conflict-sensitive approaches. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliAccess Analysis, Monitoring and Information Management /liliEstablish and maintain a robust system for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting access constraints. /liliProduce monthly access analysis reports and weekly updates, including incident tracking and trend analysis. /liliMaintain tools such as: Access dashboard, Incident tracker, Access engagement tracker /liliDisseminate critical access information within 48 hours after major incidents. /liliProvide evidence-based recommendations to support operational planning. /li /ulh3Strategy Implementation and Operational Integration /h3ulliSupport the implementation of the Access Strategy at area and sub-office level. /liliDevelop sub-area access plans aligned with local constraints and dynamics. /liliEnsure integration of access considerations into at least 80% of operational plans. /liliContribute to quarterly reviews of access strategy performance. /li /ulh3Acceptance and Community Engagement /h3ulliStrengthen community acceptance through structured engagement with leaders, civil society, and communities. /liliSupport communication efforts to counter misinformation and improve perception of WFP. /liliPromote and integrate community feedback mechanisms (CFM) into access analysis. /liliFacilitate regular community engagement activities in priority areas. /li /ulh3Dialogue, Negotiation and Stakeholder Engagement /h3ulliConduct and support structured dialogue with authorities, armed actors, and other stakeholders influencing access. /liliDevelop and implement access engagement plans. /liliContribute to humanitarian negotiation efforts in line with humanitarian principles. /liliEnsure proper documentation of engagements and reporting within 48 hours. /li /ulh3Coordination (Internal and External) /h3ulliEnsure active participation in: /liliInternal Access Working Group /liliInter-agency Access Working Groups (OCHA, INSO) /liliSupport harmonization of approaches and joint advocacy efforts. /liliStrengthen coordination between: /liliAccess, Security, Programme, Supply Chain,
