The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here . /p pbWhat we are looking for /b /p h3bThis is what you will do /b /h3 pReporting to the VP, RWE, the Real World Evidence Lead Endocrine-Metabolic (Endo-Met) is responsible for leading and executing the global RWE strategy and vision for the Endo-Met Portfolio within GRD. /p pThe role ensures the strategy, creation and updating of the integrated evidence generation plan (IEGP), in alignment with cross-functional partners to meet research and commercial objectives. The role drives enterprise-level RWE impact, including building strategic data partnerships, advancing innovative methodologies, and influencing cross-functional decision‑making. /p h3bYou will be responsible for /b /h3 pAct as a change agent, effectively communicating the value of RWE and influencing adoption of new processes and approaches. This includes: /p ul liLead the global RWE strategy for the Endo-Met GRD portfolio, acting as the strategic RWE leader across development, regulatory, and commercialization phases, and ensuring its integration into regulatory, payer, and clinical decision-making across the Endo-Metabolic Portfolio including Myalepta® (metreleptin) in Lipodystrophy, Juxtapid® / Lojuxta® (lomitapide) in Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) and future pipeline or acquired assets.



/li liIncrease the integration of RWD sources to enhance evidence-based decision making through research programs, while providing medical leadership as appropriate on cross-functional teams supporting local and global needs in a prioritized manner. /li liPublish, where appropriate in high impact journals. /li /ul pbCapability Building Organizational Leadership /b /p ul liContinuously improve RWE capabilities, processes, and infrastructure to support global and local evidence generation for HIDO Build and scale RWE capabilities as a competitive advantage for GRD /li liEstablish best practices, standards, and ways of working across regions /li liLead change management to embed RWE into core organizational processes /li /ul pbExternal Data Partnership Strategy /b /p ul liLead identification, evaluation, and execution of external RWD partnerships and data acquisition strategies /li liOversee due diligence, contracting support, and governance of external data sources and collaborations /li liBuild long-term strategic relationships with academic institutions, data vendors, consortia, and healthcare systems /li /ul pbScientific Technical Leadership /b /p ul liFoster the appropriate use and adoption of appropriate analytic technologies to improve RWE reliability and applicability to provide insights that matter to internal and external stakeholders /li liProvide senior scientific leadership and deep technical expertise in observational research, epidemiology, and RWE methodologies /li liGuide study design, analytics strategy, and interpretation of evidence /li liEnsure adoption of innovative approaches, including AI/ML and advanced analytics, in RWE generation /li /ul pbCross-Functional Influence Integration /b /p ul liAct as the RWE subject matter expert within cross-functional teams (Medical, Clinical Development, Market Access, Regulatory) /li liInfluence asset strategies, development plans, and access strategies /li liLead alignment of RWE priorities across global and regional stakeholders /li /ul pbEvidence Generation Oversight /b /p ul liProvide executive oversight of RWE studies, registries, and non-interventional programs, ensure studies are aligned to strategic priorities and deliver high-impact outcomes /li liMaintain governance of study concept development and prioritization /li /ul pbExternal Scientific Leadership Visibility /b /p ul liRepresent Chiesi externally in scientific forums, consortia, and partnerships /li liDrive publication strategy and dissemination of RWE insights /li liMaintain awareness of emerging trends, regulatory guidance, and methodological advances /li /ul pbLeadership Matrix Management /b /p ul liLead cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment /li liOversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation across RWE initiatives /li liManage consultants, mentor junior team members and as needed, direct reports over time /li /ul h3bYou will need to have /b /h3 ul liAdvanced degree (PhD, DrPH, MD, PharmD, MSc) in epidemiology, public health, health economics,



or related field /li li8+ years of experience in RWE, HEOR, epidemiology, or observational research in pharma/biotech or related setting /li liDemonstrated success in leading RWE strategy at asset or portfolio level /li liStrong experience in real-world data sources (claims, EHR, registries, etc.) /li liProven track record of building partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders /li liExperience supporting regulatory and/or market access use of RWE /li liDeep expertise in epidemiology and RWE methodologies /li liAbility to translate evidence into business and clinical impact /li liDemonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional leadership /li liExperience with advanced analytics, AI/ML, and innovative RWE approaches /li liAbility to shape data strategy and infrastructure decisions /li liStrong governance and oversight of complex, multi-country studies and programs /li liAbility to manage competing priorities and large-scale initiatives /li /ul h3bWe would prefer for you to have /b /h3 ul liRare disease experience strongly preferred /li /ul h3bCompensation Range (package applied for role based in Italy) /b /h3 pThe minimum salary for this role is €81.121, aligned to our established salary framework.
