Qascom is looking for a Product Quality Assurance Engineer for its headquarter in Bassano del Grappa (VI), Italy.
As part of the Operations Department, the successful candidate will contribute to Product Assurance activities supporting major national and international space programs.
The position is primarily focused on the execution of technical Product Assurance tasks, including EEE parts control, Radiation Assurance, dependability analyses, qualification of special manufacturing processes, and support to environmental and functional test campaigns.
The role involves the planning and execution of project-level PA activities, as well as with the Quality Assurance function to ensure alignment with the Company's Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives.
The position offers the opportunity to work with international teams, customers and Space Agencies such as ASI, ESA and NASA, participating in project reviews, supplier oversight activities, inspections, and the preparation of Product Assurance documentation and deliverables.
What you will do
- Perform Product Assurance activities in compliance with project requirements, applicable standards and internal procedures;
- Prepare and maintain EEE parts documentation, including DCLs, DPLs, DMLs and DMPLs;
- Perform Radiation Assurance activities, including component radiation assessment, review of radiation test data, preparation of Radiation Analysis Reports, mission radiation environment definition (using SPENVIS, OMERE or equivalent tools) and verification of compliance with mission radiation requirements;
- Support dependability activities, including derating analyses, Parts Stress Analyses and definition of screening requirements for EEE components;
- Support qualification activities for manufacturing processes and maintain the associated qualification records and documentation;
- Participate in environmental and functional test campaigns, reviewing test procedures, witnessing test execution, assessing test results and preparing Product Assurance inputs to test reports;
- Review suppliers' documentation and verify compliance with project requirements;
- Review of manufacturing and assembly documentation, including MIPs, KIPs, procedures and inspection reports;
- Manage non-conformances, waivers and deviations and ensure proper implementation of corrective actions;
- Participate in project reviews (PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR and QR) providing Product Assurance inputs;
- Interface with the Quality Assurance function to support QA-related activities, including audits, non-conformance management, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
What do you need:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Aerospace, Materials or Electronic Engineering;
- All levels of working experience are welcomed;
- Knowledge of Product Assurance principles and processes;
- Knowledge of EEE Parts Control (DCL, DPL, DML, DMPL, screening and derating);
- Knowledge of radiation Assurance, including radiation effects on electronic components (TID, SEE, SEL, SEU, SET), radiation testing and Radiation Analysis activities (SPENVIS, OMERE or equivalent tool);
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
Desired Knowledge & Skills:
- 2 years working in the aerospace and defense sector;
- Familiarity with ECSS standards, preferably ECSS-Q-ST-30, ECSS-Q-ST-60 and ECSS-Q-ST-70 series;
- Materials and Processes, including qualification and control of manufacturing processes;
- Environmental and Functional Testing (TVAC, vibration, shock, EMC/EMI);
- Cleanliness andContamination Control;
- Familiarity with IPC Class 3 manufacturing requirements.
