Vice President, Trade & Working Capital Sales Italy

In this role you will lead commercial development for a defined cluster of large corporates, driving growth through origination, structuring and execution of Trade & Working Capital solutions. You will balance senior client coverage with product expertise to deliver tailored finance options across traditional and structured offerings.

You will collaborate across internal stakeholders and Santander platforms to design bespoke solutions. This is an opportunity to shape Italy’s Trade & Working Capital franchise and work with a global network.

- Manage and develop senior relationships with a dedicated portfolio of large corporate clients and key decision-makers
- Originate new business opportunities and drive growth across the Trade & Working Capital product suite
- Identify client financing, liquidity optimization and supply chain needs and translate them into tailored opportunities
- Lead strategic dialogue with CFOs, Treasurers, Procurement and Supply Chain executives
- Originate and execute traditional Trade Finance solutions (guarantees, standby letters of credit, documentary letters of credit, import/export financing, receivables/payables finance)
- Lead origination and structuring of sophisticated Working Capital transactions (Inventory Financing, Prepayment Financing, Distributor Financing, Structured Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance)




- Coordinate development of bespoke solutions involving multiple internal stakeholders and international Santander platforms
- Manage and grow existing portfolio with revenue, capital management and client satisfaction oversight
- Support transaction execution from origination through implementation and ongoing management
- Contribute to revenue forecasting, pipeline discipline and commercial planning activities
- Act as senior commercial partner for Coverage Bankers and product teams
- Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product Management and Structuring teams
- Contribute to development of the Italian Trade & Working Capital franchise
- Provide guidance to junior team members and manage a team of junior resources
- 8-10 years in Global Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Working Capital Solutions, Corporate Banking or Structured Trade & Receivables Finance
- Proven track record by originating and closing complex Trade & Working Capital transactions
- Strong experience managing senior relationships within large corporates and multinational groups
- Ability to structure customized financing solutions and lead discussions with senior client decision-makers
- Solid understanding of credit, risk, legal and operational considerations in structured transactions
- Languages: Italian fluent, English fluent; Spanish a plus
