ppA large global organisation are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team in Rome. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise with firewall technologies. /p pThis will be a 12 months+ contract with the possibility for further extensions available. /p pThis position will be worked on a Partita Iva - Freelance basis. /p pHybrid On-Site presence is required (3 Days On-Site / 2 Days Remote) in Rome, Italy. /p pThe ideal candidate will speak fluent English Italian. /p h3Key Responsibilities/Skills /h3 ul liManage and maintain enterprise firewalls, including: /li liRule base creation and optimization /li liLog analysis and troubleshooting /li liConfiguration and policy management /li liFirmware and software upgrades /li liCollaborate with network, system, and security teams to support infrastructure initiatives. /li liParticipate in incident response activities, providing expert analysis on firewall‑related events. /li liDocument configurations, procedures, and best practices. /li liMinimum 3 years of hands‑on experience administering and maintaining firewall platforms.



/li liKnowledge of network security principles, threat vectors, and mitigation strategies. /li liSolid understanding of Networking fundamentals, including: /li liSwitching and routing concepts: TCP/IP, OSI model /li liBasic network architecture and protocols /li liAbility to analyse logs, troubleshoot connectivity and security issues, and propose corrective actions. /li liFamiliarity with change management processes and configuration lifecycle. /li /ul h3Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills /h3 ul liExperience with Tufin Secure Track / Secure Change. /li liHands‑on knowledge of Fortinet (FortiGate, Forti Manager, FortiAnalyzer) and/or Juniper (SRX, JunOS) technologies. /li liUnderstanding of load balancers (e.g., F5, Citrix ADC, Kemp). /li liExperience in automation or scripting for network/security tasks is a plus. /li liAny relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP Security) are considered a strong advantage. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
