In this role within Panasonic’s Research & Development team for A2W & W2A heat pumps and chillers, you will design mechanical aspects of HVAC units using 2D/3D CAD. You collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability, and you support prototype and production phases, suppliers, and Lean processes. You will prepare BOMs, documentation, and contribute to issue resolution and continuous improvement. This is an international, growth‑oriented environment where you help shape efficient, high‑quality thermal systems.

Key responsibilities and qualifications

- Mechanical design of HVAC components using 2D/3D CAD (refrigerant/hydraulic/aeraulic circuits, structural parts, insulation)

- Coordinate with design team to optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability

- Support production activities during prototyping; integrate with mechanical, electrical, software, and thermodynamics inputs

- Interface with suppliers for cost‑effective, qual‑standard parts





- Create BOMs for mechanical structure and manage coding/revisions with supply chain

- Draft assembly documentation to ensure efficient, quality‑driven assembly under Lean principles

- Report activities, plan workload and deadlines with R&D; team lead

- Participate in non‑conformity analysis and propose corrective actions

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

- Experience in Technical Offices in HVAC sector companies

- Knowledge of bent sheet metal structures and piping in complex refrigeration circuits

- Strong understanding of design processes, technologies, and related expertise

- Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks or similar) for 3D modelling

- Knowledge of refrigerant circuits, thermodynamics, hydraulics and related components

- Experience with Excel and simulation tools

- English level: upper basic (basic to intermediate)
