Job Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continuous access to the services our customers rely on. You will join a diverse team of engineers, specialists, and managers across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety, security, and capacity while minimizing cost.
Responsibilities
Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver of a range of datacenter infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. You will oversee the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and hardware for data centers in AWS Cloud regions, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with other teams for complex issues.
Diagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.
Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Manually handle and lift equipment as required.
Work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends to maintain a 24/7 data center environment.
Travel locally up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
IT hardware troubleshooting experience.
Formal education, apprenticeship, or training in an IT-related field.
Good command of English.
Valid driving license in Italy.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent formal qualification in an IT-related field.
Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols in a data center.
Additional Requirements
Shift work readiness and availability to work rotating shifts.
