**School of Transnational Governance** The European University Institute is looking for an inspiring **Director for the Florence School of Transnational Governance** Since 2017, the Florence School of Transnational Governance has grown into a vibrant and inclusive community of academics driven by a sense of urgency to create new ways of addressing the most important transnational challenges of our time. Through its core activities of research, education, and dialogue, the School acts as a hub at the intersection of transnationalism, governance, and European values. The STG’s 300-strong community - including 150 students - come together around its three pillars: (i) the two-year Master of Arts in Transnational Governance (MTnG); (ii) Executive Education for Practitioners, including the two-year Global Executive Master (GEM); (iii) fellowship programmes, including the Policy Leaders Fellows. In parallel, the School hosts several large, externally funded programmes at the forefront of public policy for the public good in areas such as climate policy, disinformation, Artificial Intelligence and democracy. The Director will be responsible for the growth and consolidation of the STG’s 2025-2030 strategy in line with the EUI’s new Vision. The Director, together with the Executive Director, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the STG, as well as its strategic direction.
Central to the role is fostering a supportive working environment that promotes integrity, ethical conduct, and collaboration, ensuring alignment with the EUI’s values and mission. The role requires a highly innovative and collaborative leadership style—someone capable of fostering integration with the EUI Departments and the Robert Schuman Centre, while also forging
- thinking approach to advancing the STG’s mission, inspiring creative solutions, and cultivating dynamic engagement across academic, policy, and social spheres.
