ph3Job Description /h3 pThe Design Engineer is responsible for creating and managing design documentation (including technical specifications, Bill of Materials, design guidelines, etc.) for components and assemblies in powertrain systems (and complete vehicles). The role involves developing 3D models, 2D drawings, and ensuring the manufacturability and quality of designs. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liCreation of 3D models for components and assemblies according to project-related design and CAD guidelines /li liDevelopment of 2D-CAD drawings for manufacturing based on valid standards and latest production technologies /li liContinuous data quality and plausibility checks, and data exchange with internal departments and external partners /li liRegular design checks to ensure compliance with package boundaries, assembly processes,



and manufacturability /li liMaintenance and updating of component documentation in the AVL-PDM System and AVL Powertrain Database /li liSupport for lead engineers and project managers during project execution /li liTechnical support for resident engineers /li liAssistance in creating documentation for training, knowledge management, and patents /li liSupport for AVL internal part procurement through information exchange with customers and suppliers /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field /li liPractical work experience in the design of powertrain and/or vehicle components /li liProficiency in handling 3D CAD systems (Catia and/or Creo) /li liExperience in defining and applying shape, orientation, and location tolerances /li liFamiliarity with applicable standards and processes in the automotive industry /li liEnglish language skills: good to advanced level /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
