ppThe Senior Engineering Construction Underwriter will be responsible for underwriting engineering construction risks, conducting risk assessments through preliminary data analysis and selection, and ensuring high-quality, timely responses to the sales network. /p pThe successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with commercial competence and will work closely with brokers, demonstrating excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills. /p pThe position is based in Milan and reports directly to the Underwriting Director — Engineering Construction. /p h3Role responsibilities /h3 ul liHandle quotation requests for various types of Engineering Construction risks in line with the Line of Business risk appetite. /li liUnderwrite policies including CAR, EAR, IDI, Machinery Breakdown, Leasing, EEI, CPE, Property through technical analysis, risk evaluation, and pricing. /li liBuild and maintain relationships with the distribution network, comprising more than 1,200 agents and brokers. /li liSupport monitoring portfolio performance and underwriting results. /li liDefine and implement product and pricing strategies within the Line of Business. /li liReview and analyze Loss Prevention and Technical Control reports. /li liDeliver technical and commercial training and support to agents and brokers. /li liCollaborate closely with the Claims team to ensure underwriting consistency and enhance service quality. /li /ul h3Key requirements /h3 ul liDegree or equivalent experience in Engineering /li liSignificant experience in Engineering Construction underwriting as a Senior Underwriter in and/or a solid experience in PC insurance sector (insurance companies, MGAs, brokers) /li liProactive, with strong commercial orientation and goal-focused attitude /li liExcellent negotiation and relationship leadership skills. /li liFluent written and spoken English.
