ppRINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Sustainability Consultant to join its office in Genoa within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Junior Sustainability Consultant supports projects across a broad range of sustainability-related areas, including Climate Risk, Carbon Markets, Energy Efficiency and Management, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting Target Settings, Product Sustainability Metrics, Sustainable Finance, ESG, and Sustainability Management. /p pThe role requires a foundational understanding of sustainability principles, curiosity for emerging trends and regulations, strong analytical and research skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. The Junior Consultant will work under the guidance of senior consultants, contributing to the execution of sustainability analyses and the preparation of technical deliverables. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 h3GHG Accounting Target Settings /h3 ulliSupport in performing GHG emissions inventories for companies and products. /liliAssist in data collection and analysis for GHG targets and decarbonization strategies. /liliContribute to identifying potential areas for emissions reduction under supervision. /li /ul h3Product Sustainability Metrics /h3 ulliSupport the development and implementation of LCA/LCC/S-LCA/EPD/CFP models. /liliCollect and organize data relevant to LCA/LCC/S-LCA/EPD/CFP analyses. /liliAssist in conducting sustainability and circularity assessments. /liliLearn and progressively develop proficiency in LCA software tools (e.g., Open LCA, PSILCA, Sphera GaBi). /li /ul h3Energy Efficiency and Management /h3 ulliSupport in energy audits and efficiency assessments. /liliAssist in identifying potential areas for energy savings in various sectors. /liliContribute to ISO 50001 implementation and maintenance activities. /li /ul h3Climate Risk /h3 ulliAssist in conducting Climate Change Vulnerability and Risk Assessments aligned with international standards. /liliSupport the identification of climate adaptation measures. /li /ul h3Sustainable Finance /h3 ulliSupport analyses of alignment with the Paris Agreement and sustainable finance principles. /liliAssist in the evaluation of projects or investments against Green Loan and Green Bond Principles. /li /ul h3Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) /h3 ulliContribute to ESG data collection and benchmarking exercises. /liliSupport ESG assessments and analysis against international standards.



/li /ul h3Carbon Markets /h3 ulliSupport studies and data collection for compliance with Voluntary or Mandatory Carbon Market requirements. /liliAssist in preliminary calculations of potential carbon credit generation. /li /ul h3Sustainability Management /h3 ulliSupport EU Taxonomy and DNSH analyses (ex-ante and monitoring). /liliContribute to the preparation of Sustainability Policies and Reports (e.g., ESRS, GRI) under supervision. /li /ul h3Horizontal Tasks and Actions /h3 h3Preparation of Written Documents /h3 ulliContribute to drafting sections of technical reports and presentations. /liliEnsure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in documentation under guidance. /li /ul h3Calculations and Data Analysis /h3 ulliPerform basic calculations and quantitative analyses related to sustainability metrics. /liliAssist in managing and interpreting datasets to identify trends and insights. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Engagement /h3 ulliParticipate in internal meetings and client interactions alongside senior consultants. /liliSupport the preparation of communication and engagement materials. /li /ul h3Compliance and Standards /h3 ulliStay updated on relevant sustainability standards, regulations, and frameworks. /liliEnsure alignment of work with internal quality procedures and best practices. /li /ul h3Learning and Development /h3 ulliActively participate in training and mentoring sessions to build sustainability expertise. /liliSeek continuous feedback to enhance technical and professional skills. /li /ul h3Assistance in Continuous Improvement /h3 ulliContribute ideas for improving tools, templates, and processes. /liliSupport the team in identifying and implementing best practices. /li /ul h3Collaboration and Communication /h3 ulliWork collaboratively within project teams, ensuring effective communication. /liliShare progress updates and proactively seek support when needed. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Engineering General or Economics /p h3Qualifications /h3 ulli0 to 2 years of experience in sustainability-related projects or internships. /liliStrong analytical and quantitative skills.



/liliProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). /liliGood written and verbal communication skills. /liliTeam-oriented mindset and collaborative approach. /liliMotivation to learn and grow in the sustainability field. /liliFamiliarity with sustainability frameworks (e.g., ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SBTi, GRI, CDP) is an advantage. /liliDemonstrated interest in environmental and social sustainability topics. /liliProficiency in Italian (C1 level or higher) and good proficiency in written and spoken English (B2 level or higher). /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ulliFORESIGHT INSIGHT - Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making. /liliWORKPLACE DYNAMICS - Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. /liliINTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE - Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others. /liliDOMAIN BUSINESS ACUMEN - Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise. /liliPERSONAL EMPOWERMENT - Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally. /li /ul h3Compensation Data /h3 pThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria, and responsibilities in accordance with bCCNL RINA /b (CNEL code I480). /p pThe gross annual salary range foreseen is between b€30.000 and €35.000 /b and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies, and overall alignment with the role. /p pIn addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. /p pThe overall compensation package is complemented by the Company’s welfare. /p pRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure mobility, industry, research development sectors.
