Wood is recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer to join our Life Sciences division based in Milan, working on Pharmaceutical and Bio Tech projects across Europe and internationally. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
The Role
As part of the Life Sciences Project Control Department, the Senior Planning Engineer will provide a complete planning service to the project management team, leveraging expertise in managing large, complex projects with a global reach.
International mobility and availability for assignments is essential.

Responsibilities

- Development of detailed schedules in conjunction with the project team
- Development of progress measurement systems and reporting of progress and productivity
- Co‑ordination of schedule interfaces between clients’ and EPC contractors’ activities
- Provide regular forecasting of project schedule, including key milestones
- Lead regular schedule review meetings with the project team, clients and subcontractors
- Production of weekly and monthly progress reports to the project management team
Qualifications

- Master’s Degree in Engineering
- Proven experience in the role
- Pro‑active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self‑motivated, energetic and tenacious
- Willing to share information and develop junior staff
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Availability to be relocated abroad is essential

Compensation
-
- Gross Annual Salary: €50,000, paid in 14 instalments
- The compensation package will include applicable collective agreement elements and company benefits
