The selected candidate shall primarily be responsible for:
Research in molecular and cellular microbiology applied to highly antibiotic-resistant bacteria and epidemic/pandemic-risk viruses, including work in Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) environments. In particular, the candidate will design, optimize, and perform confocal and high-resolution microscopy experiments to characterize pathogens of interest and candidate therapeutics (e.g. monoclonal antibodies and vaccines) developed at FBS/CNAP.
Responsibility for experimental design and execution, data analysis, drafting of reports and scientific articles,



and presentation of results in appropriate venues.
Assistance and training of FBS/CNAP colleagues in designing and performing assays requiring confocal and high-resolution microscopy.
Interaction and collaboration with the data science group for analysis of microscopy-generated images.
Supervision of PhD students and undergraduate/master's thesis students.
Active participation in the design and implementation of the microscopy facility, from infrastructure and equipment planning to operational integration and experimental validation.
Responsibility for the management and maintenance of confocal and high-resolution microscopes available at FBS/CNAP, including interaction with internal technical staff and/or external companies.
Collaboration with internal and external FBS/CNAP partners, including within shared research projects.
