The Director of Capital Projects drives all aspects of planning, design, construction, and stakeholder management for large- and small-scale projects assigned to the Project Management Office across Yeshiva University's New York City campuses. The Director of Capital Projects will be responsible for projects from inception through delivery and project closeout, including defining project scope, developing budgets and schedules, writing RFPs, negotiating contracts with consultants and contractors, tracking costs and timelines, leading project meetings with cross-functional teams, providing status reports to stakeholders,
and turnover of final record drawings (or as-builts) and attic stock to Facilities. The Director of Capital Projects will also continuously monitor projects to reduce potential risks, escalating scope (scope creep), budget, and schedule issues as appropriate. This role reports to the Assistant Vice President in the Facilities and Project Management Office (AVP of FPMO) and will collaborate with staff in University Operations, Information Technology Services, Institutional Advancement, and other departments throughout the University to achieve project goals.
