Role Summary
As part of our Global Lean Management Team, you share responsibility for the development and implementation of the Lean strategy for the Life Science & Environment division of MANN+HUMMEL GmbH and report to the Director Global Production LSE.
Your Responsibilities
Planning and implementing the Lean strategy for the Life Science & Environment division
Ensuring Operational Excellence and its contribution to day-to-day business
Developing and delivering training as well as coaching for managers and Lean experts
Establishing and actively managing value stream development across the plants
Standardizing and sustainably embedding Lean principles and Lean tools, as well as continuously improving them
Leading, facilitating, and following up on workshops
Developing and conducting Lean assessments at the plants
Your Profile
Education: You have successfully completed a technical degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or a related field, or possess a comparable qualification
Experience: Several years of solid experience in a Lean-focused environment within a company with a strong Lean culture, particularly in Operations, SCM, or Logistics
Expertise:
Experience in developing and implementing Lean strategies, ideally in globally operating companies
Knowledge and experience in executing Lean projects, training, and standardization
Experience managing technical projects across multiple plants within an international network
Experience in implementing and promoting a continuous improvement culture (e.g., project management, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
Strong MS Office and SAP (PP module) skills
Language Skills: Fluent in English and German
Personality:
An analytically strong manager/doer with a clear focus on efficiency and effectiveness in operational processes
Hands?on mentality and experience in a dynamic work environment
Determination and persistence, combined with a strong sense of teamwork
Empathetic communication skills across all levels (from shopfloor to management)
High willingness to travel (50%–75%), including extended stays in the USA
Strong ambition and potential to grow into an operational leadership role within 2–3 years.
