Roles & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for managing the overall financial operations of our dedicated manufacturing site in Termoli Italy and supporting the Performance Additives manufacturing footprint in all of Europe including the NXT plant in Leverkusen. Including but not limited to estimates, budgeting, performance analysis, cost analysis, partnering with the business on long-term strategy, supporting controllership on monthly close processes, and ad-hoc analyses required from the business partners.
- Lead and direct all financial activities & regulatory requirements for the Italian site including close cooperation with the European tax Manager.
- Managing Budgeting Process for the Italian site.
- Manage and coordinate the variance analysis, reports, and estimates to support regular financial reviews and all business planning requirements, including annual operating plans and other short-range estimates.
- Month-end closing activities: conversion cost accruals, MRO reserve, P&E; accruals, volume and variance analysis, and reporting.

- Support Standard costing process: review, simulations, new materials, machine hour rate calculation.
- Partner and report out to Site Management and Global Operations Leader about all financial activities stated above (including monitoring of capital projects).
- Liaise with the Europe Controllership team for Italian companies (both US and local GAAP) regarding balance sheet items and assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Coordinating and managing closing and liaising with external Auditors, Tax Department, and Tax advisors.
- Ascertain compliance with all internal and external accounting policies and procedures ( incl. SOX ).
- Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Analysis.
- Maintain local SAP/Financial systems to maintain compliance with local regulations and needs.
- Financially support local investments & strategic business development in the region.
- Comply with Safety according to the safety regulation D. Lgs.81/2008.

Required Skills and Certifications:

- Master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of finance experience in an industrial finance/manufacturing setting specially from chemicals manufacturing industry.
- At least a very good level of financial English.
- Knowledge of Italian taxes and finance, working experience in Italy.
- Strong accounting / financial analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
- Excellent Systems knowledge (SAP, BW, Microsoft Office, etc.).
