ph3Overview /h3 pElement has an opportunity for abCluster General Manager /bfor a senior management role in our organization.
This role will be responsible for leading growth in the Energy Europe business covering the Netherlands, Milan and Germany labs.
/p pUnder general direction, you will plan, organize, coordinate and direct growth, operations, and programs to maintain short and long term financial and organizational viability, while fulfilling commitments to customers.
/p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead and inspire a culture of safety first /li liExemplifies Element values of Care, Integrity, and Progress with team /li liResponsible and accountable to drive and deliver the annual Operational Plan commitments including revenues, profit, working capital and operational performance /li liOverall EBITDA responsibility of $15m /li liResponsibility of 150 employees /li liLead the overall organization through a cadence of setting budgets, hitting targets, closing customer deals, growing revenue, increasing profitability, managing safety and quality /li liAttract, develop, and retain talents to ensure proper staffing levels and skill sets to deliver sustainable business results /li liResponsible for capital equipment and facilities planning.
Prepare and submit accurate plans and forecasts as required, maintain acceptable levels of working capital, and determine and execute corrective actions necessary to achieve plan goals /li liLead a culture focused on continuous improvement in the areas of being a zero-injury workplace, operational excellence, colleague engagement, and delivering sustainable results /li liBuild and maintain a culture that promotes teamwork, coaching and collaboration /li liLead and manage the team, communicate goals and objectives, provide direction, motivation, and engagement to colleagues /li liImprove employee engagement through listening to employee feedback and create focused strategies and action plans /li liResponsible for collaborating effectively with location support functions and systems including Quality, Safety, Security, Finance, Human resources, Business Improvement, and Service Excellence /li liBuild and execute short- and long-term business plans and strategies to include operational goals, equipment needs, innovative operational and client solutions aligned with staffing for the location /li liWork in conjunction with long term group growth goals, develop and implement strategies based on geographic business industry knowledge, changing market conditions,
technical capability and expertise, and capital expenditures /li liPromote a customer centric culture through regular interactions with customers driving one of Elements core values of Customer Care throughout the organization including oversight and implementation of customer corrective actions plans, while continuously working to improve net promoter scores throughout the site /li /ul h3Skills / Qualifications /h3 ul liPreferably 8+ years' management experience managing a large organization, with 40+ employees and subordinate managers/supervisors /li liProven track record of P L success and business development; could include sales growth, marketing strategies, negotiating and closing deals, process improvements, innovation, setting budgets, hitting targets, and profitability, growing and developing teams, managing safety and quality, and engaging and developing teams /li liStrong customer engagement experience preferred with both direct contact with customers and leading an organization to best serve customers /li liStrong commercial acumen with the ability to proactively identify financial challenges, analyze available information and identify innovative solutions /li liMust be able to effectively trouble shoot and resolve day to day business challenges.
/li liMust have a strong ability to partner (changed from coordinate) with other colleagues and departments (e.g., Operations, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Human Resources, Finance) /li liStrong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment to deliver business results /li liExcellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and influence others, as well as being able to articulate and effectively adjusts style, message and approach to the audience /li liThis position is expected to be onsite at either our Breda or Milan Lab.
