ph3Program Manager – Large Power Converters /h3 pLocation: Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy.
/p pThe Program Manager will manage the development and execution of new products within the Large Power Converters Product Line, part of the Power Management Business Unit.
This role will focus on New Product Development / New Product Introduction programs through the Vertiv NPDI process, while also supporting initiatives related to existing products such as sustaining, regionalization, cost?out, compliance, lifecycle management, and engineering change projects.
/p pThe successful candidate will independently manage high?complexity programs with limited supervision, leading cross?functional teams through influence, structure, accountability, and strong execution control.
The role reports to the Product Line PMO Lead.
/p h3What kind of work will you be doing?
/h3 ul liLead and manage multiple cross?functional projects and programs within the Large Power Converters Product Line.
/li liOwn project execution from initiation to launch, ensuring clear planning, disciplined execution, and alignment with the Vertiv NPDI process.
/li liDrive project scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful achievement of business and technical objectives.
/li liPrepare and support NPDI gate reviews, milestone reviews, governance meetings, and launch readiness assessments.
/li liMaintain strong execution control through project dashboards, integrated schedules, risk registers, issue logs, action trackers, decision logs, and executive status reporting.
/li liLead cross?functional teams without direct authority, driving accountability across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Service, Quality, Finance, Sales, Compliance/Certification, and regional teams.
/li liEnsure stakeholder alignment on priorities, risks, trade?offs, decisions, escalations, and recovery plans.
/li liIdentify, track, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.




/li liSupport financial tracking against approved project budgets, business cases, and cost targets.
/li liEnsure project documentation is complete, accurate, traceable, and aligned with NPDI governance requirements.
/li liSupport regionalization, sustaining, cost?out, compliance/certification, platform development, lifecycle, and engineering change initiatives as required.
/li liCommunicate project status clearly and concisely to leadership and stakeholders, including key achievements, risks, decisions required, and corrective actions.
/li liPromote a culture of ownership, execution discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project teams.
/li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liMore than 6 years of strong project or program management experience, preferably in complex industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology environments.
/li liProven ability to independently manage high?complexity, cross?functional programs with limited supervision.
/li liDemonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment.
/li liStrong experience with structured project governance, project reporting, milestone tracking, action management, and executive communication.
/li liProven ability to lead cross?functional teams without direct authority and drive accountability across functions.
/li liStrong communication, problem?solving, decision?making, conflict management, and stakeholder management skills.
/li liAbility to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization across regions and functions.




/li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liEngineering degree or equivalent technical education.
/li liProject management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
/li liExperience with new product introduction, new product development, stage?gate processes, or NPDI governance.
/li liExperience with power electronics, UPS systems, power converters, industrial products, electrical engineering, embedded controls, or mechanical/electrical integration.
