ppbSenior Power Electronics Engineer /b (Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy) /p pThe Power Converter Engineer will be part of the team in charge of assessing new converter architectures and components.
The Power Converter Engineer will help in the development of power products that meet company goals, customer needs, and industry standards.
The Power Converter Engineer will collaborate with teams like service, manufacturing, and procurement to address issues throughout the design process.
/p pbWhat kind of work will you be doing?
/b /p ul liWork with the team to analyze and test future conversion topologies and components.
/li liPerform lab tests to increase technology readiness and verify performance.
/li liCoordinate with engineering divisions and offering to define product specs.
/li liSupport the testing team in creating plans and assessing results.
/li liPrepare technical documents, including drawings and component specs.
/li liApply lessons learned from previous projects to new ones.
/li liReport progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and management promptly.
/li /ul pbWhat will make you successful?
/b /p ul liDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
/li li7+ years in UPS, or power conversion platforms (AC/DC, DC/DC, etc.).
/li liSubstantial knowledge of IGBT, Mosfet, SiC power switches, and magnetic components basics.
/li liAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast?paced setting.
/li liProficient with engineering design tools and methodologies (Plecs, Spice).
/li liStrong in planning, analysis and communication.
/li liCollaborative team player with solid problem?solving skills.
/li liCustomer?oriented; open to travel.
/li liGood in written and spoken English.
/li liExperienced in technical documentation and test procedures.
/li liComplete knowledge of laboratory measuring instruments operation (oscilloscope, wattmeter, etc.).
/li liProven experience in prototype development, tuning and testing.
/li /ul pTravel required on an occasional basis (10%) including international travel for NPDI product reviews and corporate meetings.
/p pThe anticipated salary range for this role in the Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy locality is between 48,000€ to 60,000€ gross per year (based on a 40-hour work week).
