Role : Principal PV Engineer

Location: Milan, Italy

Working Pattern: Full-time

Salary: €100,000 DOE

A leading renewable energy consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Solar PV Consultant to join its growing team in Italy. Working across utility-scale Solar PV and hybrid renewable energy projects, you’ll provide technical and commercial consultancy to developers, investors and asset owners throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading technical and commercial due diligence on utility-scale Solar PV projects.
- Assessing technical risks and providing practical recommendations.
- Reviewing project design, permitting, grid connection,



contracts and project progress.
- Producing energy yield assessments using PVsyst and industry-standard datasets.
- Carrying out site inspections and construction monitoring across Italy.
- Managing multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

- An Engineering or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years’ experience within the Solar PV industry.
- A strong understanding of the Solar PV project lifecycle.
- Experience using PVsyst for energy yield assessments.
